Channeling Change
Managing Organizational Transition
What It Is
This workshop provides organizational leaders with the knowledge to both facilitate change and manage transition. Through a baseline unpacking of what “change” actually is, participants will build an understanding of how to organize necessary change as well as manage its implementation. Coupled with recognition of the emotional component of change on team members, this knowledge then enables practical, comprehensive, organization-specific strategies to be developed for both immanent change as well as the creation of templates to deal with change in general.
Objectives
Participants will:
- understand the types of change and reactions to change
- identify factors that can heighten the impact of change
- understand the difference between change management and transition management
- practice new tools and techniques to use when managing change and transition
- identify leader behaviors that exemplify positive outcomes to change
- create organization-specific change strategies
Why You Need It
Much like taxes, change is an organizational constant. However, (also like taxes), it’s a complex process to manage effectively. Poorly-managed change can alienate employees, confuse clients and vendors and, ultimately, cost a lot of money. Planning for change and understanding the true variables involved makes the difference between dreading change and expecting transitions to poorly and seeing change as a powerful generator of value and opportunity.
Understanding change + Careful planning = Nothing Stays the Same
