What We Use
We use exactly the tools you need right now.
We use tools to let in light. Many organizations habitually draw the curtains, assuming everyone knows the layout of the room well enough to keep from stumbling in the dark. Bruises and broken furniture show this just isn’t true. Our models, assessments and diversity experts all help you to pull the curtains down, to see what’s really there and plan a layout that works for everyone.
deepSEE 360° is a web-based assessment which allows you to select the level of customization right for you. It's simple. Create your own assessment choosing from nearly 100 competencies or select one of our tried and tested templates and deepSEE will take care of the rest. Our research-based competencies reflect the skills and behaviors of high-performing employees. These include traditional performance areas such as decision-making and communication, and also feature competencies of current leadership trends such as engagement, diversity and spirituality.
Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity (DMIS) provides a structure for understanding how people experience cultural difference. Six stages of perspectives describe how a person sees, thinks about, and interprets events happening around them from an intercultural-difference perspective. Since the DMIS indicates what a person sees and thinks, it also suggests what they do not see or think. The DMIS, therefore, highlights how a person’s cultural patterns both guide and limit their experience of cultural difference. This is a wonderful tool because it allows us to pinpoint where a person is in their development—we don’t have to guess. We can then pinpoint the “intervention strategies” we use to move them from one developmental stage to another. During this process, we are careful to never take a “blame and shame” approach. We keep positive momentum throughout to encourage discovery and desired outcomes.
Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) is a statistically reliable, cross-culturally valid measure of intercultural competence adapted from the Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity. The IDI can be used for a wide variety of purposes, including: Individual development coaching, counseling, organizational-wide needs assessment for training design, group analysis in teambuilding efforts, and growth of cultural competence.
